Frederik Ruppert breaks European steeplechase record in Morocco

Frederik Ruppert of Germany became the first European athlete to run the 3,000-meter steeplechase in under eight minutes, recording a time of 7 minutes 57.80 seconds at the Diamond League meet in Rabat, Morocco, on May 31, 2026.
