French wildfires threaten third stage of Tour de France on July 6

A forest fire has burned over 1,500 hectares in southwest France, raising concerns for the third stage of the Tour de France scheduled for July 6 in Les Angles. Local authorities are set to decide on the race's status by the end of the day, while race director Christian Prudhomme suggested possible route adaptations. The fire in the Pyrenees-Orientales area prompted the mobilization of around 750 firefighters and aircraft to contain its spread.
