Freshman wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. joins Ohio State football roster

Ohio State freshman wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. has officially entered the Buckeyes' offensive rotation for the 2026 season. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Henry recorded his first collegiate touchdown reception in a recent game against Ball State on a 15-yard pass from quarterback Julian Sayin. He is the son of former West Virginia and Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry, who passed away in 2009. Following his father's death, Henry Jr. was raised in Charlotte before moving to Ohio to complete his high school career. Former NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones, a former teammate of the elder Henry, serves as the legal guardian for Henry Jr. and his brother. Head coach Ryan Day continues to integrate Henry Jr. into the team's offensive scheme as the Buckeyes pursue a College Football Playoff berth.
