Ninth-ranked Friends University secured a 61-10 victory over Avila during its first home game of the season on Saturday night in Wichita. The Falcons tallied 550 yards of total offense, scoring two touchdowns in each of the first three quarters and adding three more in the fourth. Nick Cordova led the ground game with 97 rushing yards and one touchdown, while teammates Walker Overman, E'derian Sykes, Elon Conley, and Evan Cantu also contributed rushing scores. The offense proved efficient on third downs, converting 8-of-9 attempts. DJ Dingle provided the team’s lone passing touchdown on a 45-yard connection to Kade Clifton. Following the win, Friends prepares for a road matchup against Bethel next Saturday.
