FSU football adds offensive lineman Chimdia Nwaiwu from transfer portal

Florida State University has signed offensive lineman Chimdia Nwaiwu from Stephen F. Austin. The 6-foot-5, 310-pound player has an 88-inch wingspan and earned All-Southland Conference first-team honors in 2025. Nwaiwu, who has two years of eligibility remaining, will join a revamped Seminoles offensive line under head coach Mike Norvell. Last season, FSU struggled with only five wins, which led to significant roster changes. Nwaiwu is part of a group of 24 new players, including four other offensive linemen brought in from the transfer portal. Training camp opens on July 30, with the season starting August 29 against New Mexico State.
