Gabby Williams represents France at the 2026 FIBA Women's World Cup

Gabby Williams is competing for the French national team at the 2026 FIBA Women's World Cup. Born and raised in Sparks, Nevada, the guard qualifies for France through her mother, Thereese. Williams has become a cornerstone of the French program and is averaging over 18 points per game as her team advances to the gold medal match. Although she attended a USA Basketball training camp in 2017 while playing at UConn, she never made a senior team appearance for the United States. Choosing to compete for France allowed the athlete to connect with her maternal family roots and represent the country where she spent time during her youth. Williams previously excelled as a high jumper, qualifying as an alternate for the U.S. team at age 15.
