Gabriel Jesus completes individual training session at Barcelona

Deadline-day signing Gabriel Jesus held an individual training session at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Wednesday. The forward worked alone as the rest of the FC Barcelona squad did not conduct a joint session. Jesus is expected to join his new teammates on the pitch for group work on Thursday. Manager Hansi Flick will decide if the 29-year-old is prepared to feature in the squad for the upcoming La Liga match against Valencia at Mestalla. Jesus arrived from Arsenal on a three-year contract following a deal worth €10 million in fixed payments and €4 million in variables. Having fully recovered from a long-term cruciate ligament injury, he is aiming to make his debut for the club this weekend.
