Gabriel Martinelli leaves Arsenal for Al-Hilal in £60 million transfer

Gabriel Martinelli has completed a permanent move from Arsenal to Al-Hilal for a guaranteed £60 million. The 25-year-old Brazil international signed a four-year contract with the Saudi Pro League club. His departure concludes a seven-year tenure in north London that began with his arrival from Ituano in 2019. Martinelli had entered the final year of his deal and was excluded from Arsenal's opening matchday squads after being informed his playing time would decrease this season. He joins an Al-Hilal squad that includes Ollie Watkins and Crysencio Summerville, competing for the top spot in the Saudi Pro League.
