Galopin Des Champs has been officially retired after a distinguished career in horse racing. The 10-year-old trained by Willie Mullins enjoyed significant victories, including two Cheltenham Gold Cups in 2023 and 2024 and three Irish Gold Cups from 2023 to 2025. Despite finishing third in his last race while attempting a fourth Irish Gold Cup win, his owner Audrey Turley praised his achievements and the joy he brought. Plans include a possible second career in equestrian activities with Ruby Walsh’s family, where they will assess his potential in that arena.
