Gary Neville criticizes Michael Carrick for playing Leny Yoro out of position

Gary Neville has publicly criticized Manchester United manager Michael Carrick for utilizing defender Leny Yoro as a right-back. The 20-year-old French defender, signed from Real Madrid, has seen limited action this season with only 22 minutes of Premier League play. Neville argued that Yoro does not possess the necessary experience for the position and should be integrated into the squad as a centre-back. While Yoro started as a centre-back in a recent 4-0 Champions League victory against Sabah, his previous league appearances were limited to substitute roles on the right side of the defense. Carrick previously tested the youngster at right-back during pre-season, but defensive instability has led to a return of the centre-back partnership of Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez.
