Gasperini rejects transfer rumors involving Roma midfielder Manu Kone

Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini dismissed speculation regarding a late-window transfer for Manu Kone to Chelsea following Roma's 4-0 win over Lecce on August 31. Gasperini stated that the club has not received official offers for the midfielder and noted that the owners are not interested in selling players as the transfer window enters its final 24 hours. The manager emphasized the current lack of squad depth, highlighting recent injuries to players such as Ndicka. He maintained that any departure would contradict the club's strategy for competing in the Champions League. While Kone has been linked to potential moves, the manager reiterated that no discussions regarding departures have taken place. Roma currently holds a thin roster, and the coaching staff remains focused on maintaining squad integrity through the end of the transfer period.
