Josh Home has signed a two-year contract extension with Gateshead, lasting until May 2028, with an option for another year. The 20-year-old midfielder, who joined on loan from Birmingham City in December 2023, made 39 league appearances for Gateshead last season. Meanwhile, Gateshead is in search of a new manager after Rob Elliot and his assistant, Louis Storey, took coaching roles at Carlisle United. Storey turned down a new player-coach deal at Gateshead to join Elliot at Carlisle.
