Gavin Lauridsen becomes latest USC player to enter transfer portal

USC baseball has announced that right-handed pitcher Gavin Lauridsen has entered the transfer portal. Lauridsen's departure follows that of star hitter Augie Lopez. Lauridsen, who had a 4.73 ERA and struck out 40 batters over 45.2 innings in his freshman year, will still have three years of eligibility remaining. His best outing came against Oregon, where he recorded a season-high 3.1 innings without allowing any hits or walks. USC recently concluded its season with a record of 48-18, falling short of the College World Series after a loss to North Carolina in the Super Regionals.
