GB&I selects four players for Walker Cup after Weaver withdraws from U.S. Amateur

The Great Britain and Ireland (GB&I) Walker Cup team has added four players, including Englishmen Tyler Weaver, Luke Poulter, Eliot Baker, and Scotland's Niall Shiels Donegan. Weaver, ranked No. 2 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, withdrew from the U.S. Amateur scheduled at Merion next week due to a back injury. The selection comes after the team lost last year’s match at Cypress Point. British Amateur champion Stuart Grehan is already part of the roster. Connor Graham, currently ranked No. 25, is a likely pick to fill the remaining position.
