Gen. Robert Neyland statue returns to Tennessee football stadium today

The University of Tennessee has reinstated the Gen. Robert Neyland statue at Neyland Stadium as of June 3. The statue, which honors the iconic football coach, was temporarily relocated in 2024 for stadium renovations. It takes center stage in the new Championship Corner plaza, which will also feature tributes to former coaches Doug Dickey and Phillip Fulmer. Completion of this area is expected before the season opener against Furman on September 5.
