Gene Simmons throws four ceremonial pitches at Angel Stadium before Angels game

Gene Simmons of KISS threw four ceremonial first pitches at Angel Stadium on August 15 before the game between the Los Angeles Angels and the Kansas City Royals. Accompanied by bandmate Paul Stanley, Simmons participated in a celebration for the 50th anniversary of KISS's concert at Anaheim Stadium in 1976. The Angels humorously noted on social media they had to decline Simmons' request for a fifth pitch 'out of respect for Jayden Daniels,' referring to the ongoing jersey dispute involving the LSU quarterback. Daniels, who wore No. 5, is contesting LSU's decision to give that number to cornerback DJ Pickett. As of now, LSU has not officially retired No. 5 in Daniels' honor.
