Genoa has officially signed defender Mario Mitaj on loan from Al-Ittihad. The deal, announced on July 31, includes an option to buy for a total of €6.5 million. Genoa will pay €2 million for the loan this season, with an additional €4.5 million if they choose to make the transfer permanent next June. The 23-year-old Mitaj has 32 caps for the Albania national team and previously played at Lokomotiv Moscow before joining Al-Ittihad.
