George Lombard Jr. hits two home runs in Yankees doubleheader

George Lombard Jr. homered in both games of a doubleheader for the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on June 12. In the first game, he went 2-for-5 with one home run, while in the second game, he added a 1-for-4 performance, both contributing to his rising form. The RailRiders lost both games, 4-7 and 3-6, to the IronPigs. Meanwhile, the Double-A Somerset Patriots fell to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies 5-7, with DJ Gladney hitting a home run for Somerset. Other minor league affiliates had mixed results, with Hudson Valley Renegades and Tampa Tarpons recording victories in their respective games.
