George Pickens discusses contract value ahead of Cowboys extension talks

Summary

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens recently addressed his contract value during ongoing extension negotiations. The team has placed a franchise tag on Pickens, signaling that a long-term deal is complicated by salary cap constraints and the presence of star receiver CeeDee Lamb. Amidst discussions around the new contract for Ravens receiver Zay Flowers at $35 million per year, Pickens expressed that he considers himself deserving of similar financial compensation. His performance in the 2025 season, where he recorded 93 receptions for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns, has fueled expectations for a substantial deal, though the Cowboys may struggle to accommodate his demands.
