Georgia football dominates Tennessee State in 63-3 season opening victory

The Georgia Bulldogs opened their 2026 campaign with a 63-3 win over the Tennessee State Tigers on Friday. Georgia controlled the game from the start, scoring on five consecutive offensive possessions to establish an early 35-0 lead. Quarterback Gunner Stockton directed the attack, completing 15 of 16 passes for 202 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Nate Frazier contributed three rushing touchdowns on four carries, while the defense limited Tennessee State to 109 total yards. The Bulldogs utilized deep rotation, allowing more than 10 players to carry the ball and over a dozen to record receptions. The team now turns its attention to a home matchup against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on Saturday, Sept. 12.
