Germany announces 'Major Tom' music for World Cup goals

The German Football Federation (DFB) confirmed that Peter Schilling's song "Major Tom" will be played when Germany scores goals at the World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The use of this 1982 hit, previously reserved for home matches, has now been authorized by FIFA. Alongside "Major Tom," two additional songs submitted by Germany will also feature during the tournament. Germany will kick off their Group E campaign against Curaçao in Houston on June 18.
