Germany secures top spot in World Cup group after win over Ivory Coast
Summary

Germany has secured the top position in their World Cup group following Deniz Undav's stoppage-time goal against the Ivory Coast. This victory marks the first time since 2014 that Germany advances past the Group Stage in the World Cup, having previously failed to do so in 2018 and 2022. As group winners, Germany awaits their opponent in the Round of 32, likely facing one of the best third-placed teams, with a potential matchup against Scotland dependent on their upcoming game against Brazil.
