A giant Lego replica of the FIFA World Cup trophy was unveiled at Rockefeller Plaza in New York on July 7, 2026. The structure stands 8.5 metres tall and is constructed from 1.36 million Lego bricks. Football legend Cafu and designer Christophe Vietti were present for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, during which local children helped complete the model by placing the final bricks. The Lego trophy was built in the Czech Republic and took over 7,000 hours to construct by a team of 56 builders. Cafu highlighted the unifying nature of football and Lego during the unveiling.
