Casey Schmitt, third baseman for the San Francisco Giants, left Monday night's game against the Milwaukee Brewers in the bottom of the second inning following a left leg injury. Schmitt appeared to sustain the injury after rounding first base on a single to right field. Despite showing discomfort and limping, he walked off the field under his own power alongside a trainer. Schmitt was replaced by Christian Koss. As of today, Schmitt is having his best season, hitting.271 with 21 home runs and 55 RBIs.
