Giants appoint Dennis Hickey senior personnel executive and release Usama Young

The New York Giants have adjusted the front office role of Dennis Hickey and ended their association with Usama Young. Hickey, who served as the team’s assistant director of player personnel since 2022, now holds the title of senior personnel executive. This transition removes him from day-to-day facility duties after the May hiring of John Ritcher as director of college scouting. Meanwhile, the organization has parted ways with Usama Young, who had served as the vice president of player engagement since May 2025. Young previously worked in the NFL’s player engagement office for several years following a playing career that included a Super Bowl victory with the New Orleans Saints. The Giants front office, led by general manager Joe Schoen, continues to refine its scouting and personnel staff heading into the current season.
