Giants consider adding defensive back J.T. Woods after recent workouts

The New York Giants are exploring options to strengthen their defensive backfield, particularly as nickel cornerback Dru Phillips is sidelined. J.T. Woods, a former third-round pick of the Los Angeles Chargers in 2022, visited the team on Sunday and participated in an eight-player workout on Tuesday. Woods has been on several practice squads the last two seasons without seeing any game action. The Giants have recently signed defensive backs David Long and D.J. James from that workout, indicating a focus on enhancing their secondary. The team returns to practice on Monday at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center.
