Giants evaluate potential roster upgrades after NFL cut deadline

The New York Giants reached their 53-player roster limit Sunday following the NFL mandated cut deadline. General manager Joe Schoen continues to evaluate personnel moves as the team prepares for their September 13 season opener against the Dallas Cowboys. The Giants hold the fifth priority for waiver claims, trailing the Raiders, Jets, Cardinals, and Titans. Any waiver claims for players with three years of experience or fewer must be processed by Monday at 1:00 p.m. Veterans released during the roster reduction are free to sign with any franchise immediately. Potential targets for the team include defensive linemen McKinnley Jackson, Rayshaun Benny, and Jay'Viar Suggs, as well as outside linebacker Adisa Isaac.
