Giants may re-sign Brandon Allen for third quarterback role

The New York Giants are considering re-signing Brandon Allen as their third quarterback following Jaxson Dart's injury, which is reportedly worse than expected. Jameis Winston will step in as the starting quarterback. Allen, previously with the Giants' quarterbacks coach Brian Callahan, backed up last season with the Titans. Having struggled in his preseason outings, he completed 26-of-38 passes for 224 yards without a touchdown. The team also has Jake Haener on the practice squad as they look to add depth at the position.
