Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart prepares for second season start

As the Giants approach the 2026 NFL season opener, quarterback Jaxson Dart enters his second year as the primary signal-caller. Dart took over the starting role in Week 4 of his rookie season, recording 2,272 passing yards and 15 touchdowns alongside 487 rushing yards. Head coach John Harbaugh noted that while Dart has shown comfort in the offense, the upcoming game represents the next test in his development. The team expects running back Cam Skattebo to be available for the opener after a previous injury. However, the status of wide receiver Malik Nabers remains uncertain, with Harbaugh confirming the coaching staff is planning for multiple availability scenarios. Dart is expected to lead an offense that includes veterans like Odell Beckham Jr. and tight end Isaiah Likely.
