The New York Giants have signed quarterback Jake Haener, a former fourth-round pick by the New Orleans Saints, to bolster their roster. Haener, 27, replaces cornerback Sam Webb, who recently retired. After working out for the Giants last month, he joins the team following tryouts with the Detroit Lions and Houston Texans. He brings experience from his time with the Saints, where he appeared in eight games and made one start in 2024. Haener was waived by the Kansas City Chiefs in May after spending most of 2025 on their practice squad. He reported to the Giants and will begin practicing promptly.
