Giants sign veteran defensive lineman Dean Lowry to practice squad

The New York Giants are signing defensive lineman Dean Lowry to the team's practice squad. The move comes as the team looks to bolster its defensive front ahead of the upcoming season opener. Lowry enters his 10th NFL season following stints with the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, and Pittsburgh Steelers. The veteran lineman has played in 132 career games with 85 starts and is currently recovering from a torn ACL. General manager Joe Schoen previously indicated the team planned to add a defensive lineman to the roster before the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys. The Giants face the Cowboys this Sunday night at MetLife Stadium.
