Gideon Ituka unlikely to return for Wisconsin Badgers this season

Wisconsin Badgers coach Luke Fickell announced at Big Ten media day that running back Gideon Ituka is not expected to play this season due to a severe neck injury. Ituka suffered the injury during a game against Indiana on November 15, where he was immobilized and transported off the field after a hard hit. The loss of Ituka comes after he briefly stepped up as the team’s primary ball carrier due to earlier injuries among teammates. Fickell indicated that while Ituka is still part of the program, his playing days may be over.
