Girls flag football teams debut at Circle City Classic in Indianapolis

Girls flag football made its debut at Lucas Oil Stadium during the 2026 Circle City Classic in Indianapolis. In historic matches, Crispus Attucks edged Arsenal Tech 26-24, while Lawrence North secured a 34-0 victory against Ben Davis. This marks the first time local high school girls teams participated in the event, which previously featured Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Growth in the sport has been significant, with participation increasing rapidly over the last few years, culminating in a statewide total of 108 teams.
