Girona B prepares for new Segunda Federación season with overhauled squad

Girona B begins its second consecutive campaign in the Segunda Federación with a significantly altered roster and new leadership. The club confirmed the appointment of head coach Ángel Donato, who joins the staff after his tenure with the Atlético de Madrid Juvenil A team. Joining him as assistant coach is former Girona captain Àlex Granell. The team completed eight new signings while managing eleven departures, emphasizing a shift toward youth development and integration. Girona B competes in Group 2, which consists of 18 teams playing a 34-match schedule. The season opens on September 6 with an away match against UD Barbastro, followed by a home contest against CD Tudelano one week later.
