Girona FC launches Girona FC C as an international development project

Summary

Girona FC has established a new team, Girona FC C, in collaboration with the International Soccer Academy. The squad features an integrated roster of North American, international, and Catalan players. They will compete in the Fourth Catalan Division for the 2026/27 season while training within the club's professional academy environment. The initiative aims to provide players aged 18 and over with experience in European football, focusing on tactical, technical, and physical development under UEFA-licensed coaches. The team is scheduled to play a match against Lommel SK in Belgium on 14 October and will travel to England for training at Manchester City’s City Football Academy. This project is part of a broader effort to expand the club's international footprint and player pathways.
