Gleyber Torres placed on injured list with oblique strain again

Summary

Detroit Tigers second baseman Gleyber Torres has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to a left oblique strain, retroactive to June 16. This marks another instance of this injury for Torres, who previously missed a month after suffering a similar injury on May 2. Manager A.J. Hinch indicated the current strain is in the same area as the prior one, expressing frustration over the repeated issue. Torres is not eligible to return until June 26, but it's anticipated he may be sidelined longer. The Tigers will have right-hander Casey Mize return to the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Houston Astros.
