Gloucester Rugby will not return to Villa Park for match against Leicester

Gloucester Rugby has confirmed that they will hold next season's match against Leicester Tigers at Kingsholm rather than Villa Park. The club played at Villa Park last season, attracting an attendance of 24,298, but the decision to return home is influenced by upcoming stadium developments at the Premier League venue. Gloucester's chief executive, Alex Brown, emphasized the importance of providing a quality matchday experience at Kingsholm while remaining open to future opportunities outside the home ground. Gloucester will play Leicester in the Slater Cup on the weekend of 27 March 2027.
