Golden State Valkyries win WNBA Championship in Game 7

The Golden State Valkyries won their first WNBA Championship, defeating the Atlanta Dream 66-61 in Game 7 of the Finals. The match, held at Chase Center in San Francisco, marked a historic achievement as the Valkyries became the fastest franchise to win a championship, doing so in just their second season. This victory came after a successful regular season and overcoming a Game 6 logistical issue. Nike celebrated the win with a new slogan, 'Don’t need history to make it,' reflecting the team's remarkable journey. The WNBA season concludes with the Valkyries positioned as champions ahead of upcoming All-Star festivities in 2027.
