ESPN reports that while Butler has increased his on-court work and shown strength improvements, he remains limited to individual drills. The team medical staff, led by Rick Celebrini, maintains a cautious recovery plan with several milestones required before he returns to competitive play. Butler, who arrived via trade from the Miami Heat in 2025, has played 60 games alongside Steph Curry since the pair became teammates. The Warriors are preparing for training camp at the end of this month with no definitive date set for Butler's return to the lineup. He is currently targeted for a return to the court between January and February next season.
