Golf Saudi ends PIF Global Series, focuses on single championship event

Golf Saudi announced that the PIF Global Series will conclude after the 2026 season, transitioning to a single event called The Championship. The series, which commenced in 2021, showcased 29 events and contributed significantly to the Ladies European Tour's overall prize funds. The Championship, slated for July 19, 2027, will replace the ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open and will be co-sanctioned by the LPGA and the LET. Golf Saudi stated its commitment to promoting women's golf within the region, with plans for a multi-year sponsorship of a season-long points race.
