Gonzaga adds Carter Nilson as preferred walk-on recruit for 2026-27

Gonzaga Bulldogs have secured 6-5 wing Carter Nilson as a preferred walk-on for the 2026-27 season. Nilson, son of former Gonzaga player Mike Nilson, was part of his high school team that won the WIAA 4A state championship in 2024-25 and finished as the state runner-up in 2025-26. The Bulldogs have now filled 11 of the 15 available roster spots under head coach Mark Few, but additional backcourt depth remains a priority before the season begins. As a walk-on, Carter could develop and contribute over time.
