Gonzaga offers scholarship to Joey Kohnen from 2028 class

On September 26, Gonzaga extended a scholarship offer to Joey Kohnen, a four-star wing from Slinger, Wisconsin. Kohnen joins fellow four-star recruit Jordan Mize as the second member of the 2028 recruiting class to receive an offer from the Bulldogs. Previously offered by several notable programs, Kohnen showcased his skills this summer playing for Team Herro, despite a six-week injury setback due to a broken ankle. In his sophomore season, he averaged 15.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, earning recognition as a Division 2 First Team All-State player.
