Gonzaga schedules Incarnate Word for a nonconference home game in November

College SportsGonzaga has added Incarnate Word to its nonconference men's basketball schedule, marking the fifth known home game for the team at McCarthey Athletic Center. The contest is slated for either Nov. 10 or 11, falling between the Nov. 7 home opener against New Mexico State and a Nov. 14 matchup against LSU. The two programs have met only once previously, with Gonzaga securing a 103-68 victory during the 2017-18 season. Incarnate Word finished 12-19 last year and is currently undergoing a roster transition, having lost its top six scorers from the previous campaign. Coach Shane Heirman remains at the helm for the Cardinals, who hold a 39-59 record under his leadership. The official nonconference schedule and full Pac-12 Conference slate are expected to be finalized and released in the coming weeks.
