Goose Gossage criticizes Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s antics with Yankees

Rich 'Goose' Gossage, a Hall of Famer with the New York Yankees, has expressed strong criticism of Jazz Chisholm Jr. after the latter was seen sucking on a lollipop while playing second base. This incident occurred during a disappointing 2026 season for Chisholm, who posted a below-average OPS+. Yankees manager Aaron Boone commented that such behavior was not acceptable. Gossage condemned Chisholm's actions, labeling him a disgrace and stating that the team needs better guidance on conduct. Gossage's remarks come amidst a broader scrutiny of Chisholm's on-field performance and demeanor this year.
