Gotham FC has not received White House invitation after NWSL championship

Gotham FC, the 2025 NWSL champions, has not yet received an invitation to visit the White House, according to a club spokesperson. The team made history in September 2024 as the first NWSL club to visit the White House following their victory in November 2023. In contrast, other championship-winning teams, such as the Las Vegas Aces of the WNBA, also reported no invitation from the White House. The Orlando Pride, 2024 NWSL champions, did not receive an invite the following year, nor did the 2024 WNBA champions, New York Liberty. The White House has not commented on the invitations for these teams.
