Grace Goldman, Kaylie Key secure wins at Chickasaw Trails Invitational

Grace Goldman of Hartselle won the large school girls race at the Chickasaw Trails Invitational on September 13, completing her race in 17:46.84. She finished over 15 seconds ahead of her closest competitor, marking her third victory of the season following wins at the Tennessee River Classic and the Pepsi XC Challenge. Kaylie Key from Athens Bible won the small school girls race with a time of 19:14.94, achieving a personal record despite feeling she could have performed better. East Lawrence's Isabella Wright placed second in the small school girls race, motivated by a past rivalry with an opponent in the event. Athens Bible's boys secured the small school team title with 111 points.
