Graeme Souness criticizes Anthony Gordon's World Cup performances for Barcelona

Summary

Following Barcelona's signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United for €70 million earlier this summer, pundit Graeme Souness expressed skepticism about the move. He highlighted Gordon's underwhelming performances for England in the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup, suggesting that if his conservative play continues, he may not last long at the club. With a critical match against Panama approaching, Gordon has an opportunity to improve his form and address Souness's concerns, who contrasted him with fellow winger Lamine Yamal as a standard for Barcelona's attacking style.
