Graham Gooch holds the record for playing alongside the highest number of different team-mates in Test cricket history. Over the course of his 118-Test career between 1975 and 1995, the former England captain appeared with 113 unique colleagues. This total currently stands as a world record. Frank Woolley follows with 111 team-mates, while James Anderson and Wally Hammond are the only other English players to have worked with 100 or more partners. Four of the five cricketers globally with the most Test team-mates are English. Joe Root is currently 17th among English players, having played with 85 different team-mates in the longest format of the game.
