Great Britain aims for first Billie Jean King Cup title in Shenzhen

Great Britain seeks its first Billie Jean King Cup title as it competes in the finals from September 22 in Shenzhen, China. Under captain Anne Keothavong, the team joins seven others, including two-time defending champion Italy. The U.S. will not be participating after a recent qualifier loss to Belgium. Great Britain has reached the semi-finals in three of the last four editions but has never won the event, last finishing as runners-up in 1981. They will face eleven-time champions Czechia in their quarter-final match.
