Great Britain's Henry and Pritchard secure gold at European Rowing Championships

Great Britain earned gold medals with Lauren Henry in the women's single sculls and Benjamin Pritchard in the PR1 men's single sculls at the European Rowing Championships in Italy. Henry, who previously won Olympic gold in the women's quadruple sculls, led her race during the second half. Pritchard also defended his title by defeating Italian Giacomo Perini. The British women's eight team finished with a silver medal, falling short against Romania. The Championships precede the World Championships scheduled for later this month in the Netherlands.
